An extension to a semi-detached 1930s home in Thames Ditton.
Working with our interior designer Emma Stodart and architect Peter Slator, the clients were able to go through various floor plans and layouts to ensure they maximised the use of space.
To convert a dining room and small kitchen and extend to the rear to create a light, spacious kitchen/diner that seamlessly integrates with the outside space.
Instead of a simple pitched roof across the new extension the clients wanted something with a bit more character so we designed a glass gable within the pitched roof, which also allowed us to gain more light in the new kitchen. We also had a very specific schedule to work too, our client was 6 months pregnant at the start of work which meant we had to be 100% finished in the projected 12 weeks. We finished 12 weeks to the day, a Friday, baby Pippa was born on Sunday!
